Graphic design
Graphic design is the cornerstone of DU. I design equally painlessly for both digital platforms and print media. The most typical digital media jobs are website designs and banner ads. These days I also produce a lot of content for digital bulletin boards.
The most typical assignments in printed media are the design of corporate brand idententies, newspaper announcements and advertising flyers. In addition to these, I have designed a lot of, for example, trade fair stands, window coverings, bus side advertisements, signs, business cards, form templates, etc… My starting point is always to make my clients look like the best possible version of themselves, whatever the publishing platform.

The first impression of you and your company is formed through the visual appearance. Yes, a potential customer has created an image of you even before they read what you have to offer. Consumers are used to seeing the finest shots on social media, magazines, bus shelters and advertisements. Recently, the photography has focused on interiors, events, food and architecture, but we also shoot a lot of personnel and even pets.
Our photos have been used e.g. in window coverings, customer magazines, websites, catalogs, print ads, stands, as well as wall-sized interior elements, e.g. Juvenes Restaurant at the University of Tampere and at the Dextra’s Ähtäri reception.
At DU, we also understand the power of the moving image and have made several videos over the past year. Sometimes an aerial photo or video is an absolute prerequisite for telling a certain story, and we have the equipment and several years of experience in drone photography. Project management is one big part of a private entrepreneur’s everyday life. No matter how much I would like to be an AD, designer, photographer or editor, I often find myself doing the work of a project manager. I cooperate with many bigger advertising agencies and I work closely with the project managers of these national operators. The fact that I myself have experience in the matter helps me to understand their needs and I am able to implement them as smoothly as possible.
